An agency describing its own results is making a claim. A newsroom describing them is making a report. The difference matters more now than it used to, because AI systems weight third-party sources more heavily than anything a company publishes about itself.
Every article listed on this page was published by an editorial team we do not control. Links open on the publisher's own site so you can read the original rather than our summary of it.
Why third-party coverage is weighted differently
The large majority of AI citations trace back to sources other than the brand's own website. A model assembling an answer about a category draws on what independent publications have written, because those sources carry editorial distance the brand's own pages do not.
This is why media distribution sits alongside on-site work in every engagement rather than after it, and why we separate placements that carry a link from placements that only carry a brand mention. The first builds domain authority. The second builds the record an AI system reads.
