Canadian roots, a builder's habit.
Nicolas Magor is a French-speaking Canadian who studied mathematics at the University of Montreal. He began leading teams at eighteen, and has more than 13 years of experience building and managing teams.
He has worked in blockchain and finance since 2016, and co-founded Orbler.io, a company in the blockchain and cryptocurrency sector.
Growth beyond Indonesia, and visibility in AI answers.
Nicolas joined Arfadia in June 2024 as CMO & Head of International Growth. He leads Arfadia's international growth strategy: building partnerships, identifying new markets, and expanding the company's presence beyond Indonesia.
His focus is AI visibility for brands that sell abroad: how a company gets found, described, and recommended by AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity, including when buyers ask in a language other than the company's own. He is based in Bali and works in English, French, and Indonesian.
What he works on.
International growth
Partnerships, new markets, and Arfadia's presence outside Indonesia.
AI visibility
How brands are found, described, and recommended by AI assistants.
Buyers in other languages
Keeping brands that sell abroad visible when buyers search in their own language.
Research: Does the language of a buyer's question change which companies AI recommends?
In September 2026, Nicolas Magor led a test of how AI assistants recommend Indonesian exporters when the same buyer question is asked in English and in Indonesian. Twenty questions across ten export categories were asked in both languages to eight assistants: ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Copilot, Claude and Grok, producing 320 answers, plus 75 control answers. On average, the companies named in the two languages overlapped by only 21%, and in 28% of question pairs no company appeared in both. Repeating the same question in the same language produced much higher overlap, showing the gap comes from language rather than ordinary variation. English answers relied almost entirely on English-language sources: only 1 of 160 relied solely on Indonesian pages.

Method and limits
Run by five team members in Indonesia between 28 and 30 September 2026, with a new private browser window for every question and a screenshot of every answer. Overlap is the number of companies named in both answers divided by all companies named in either. The test covers ten categories and one country over three days; it shows a direction, not a ranking of individual companies, and it is practitioner research, not peer-reviewed.
